3. Selling Items on OA
How can I sell an item?
Selling is easy as 1-2-3 at the OA site. To start selling you first need an account. If you don't have one you can register right now for free. Once you've registered and logged in you can start selling!
There are two ways to start selling now.
1. Click the link 'Sell My Stuff' at the top of any main site page (only appears when you are logged in).
2. Click 'My Stuff > My Selling Tools > Sell My Stuff'.
Once you click on 'Sell My Stuff' you are taken to a page displaying main categories. Click the category that best describes your item. Now a second level of categories will appear. This lets you narrow down your item even more in the category menu. Continue until you reach the best category. Next you will click 'Select Category', a button that appears at the bottom.
The next page is the item title, description, images you can upload, and your auction and shipping preferences. Any fee for the auction displays at the bottom. When you're done simply submit the item and your auction begins immediately unless you choose a start date that is in the future. How do I get billed for fees?
There are nearly zero fees here. If you list items without enhancement (featured) the cost to list any item in any category is ZERO. That includes motors categories such as car auctions, boats and planes.
There are no final value fees or other hidden fees and you make NO DEPOSIT to us or pay any membership or subscription fees.
Each time you list an item your account balance stays ZERO unless you choose 'Featured'. If your balance reaches $25.00 your ability to list additional items will be placed on hold automatically and your listings will end until the balance is paid (but there are no fees unless you make your item featured).
You can also pay your balance at any time. It does not have to reach $25.00 before it can be paid.
To view or pay your listing balance simply login to your account, go to My Stuff >> My Account >> My Account Balance.
You can pay your balance from there with your PayPal account, and if you do not have a PayPal account you can still pay with PayPal by directly entering any credit card you wish to use at the PayPal site.
You can also pay by check in the mail or fax a credit card. Contact us in the Community to set up this arrangement. What are the fees for listings?
