How do I find items that I'd like?
Once you've registered and logged in you can start searching for products that interest you. You'll also note that the menu at the top of the main page changes when you log in and additional links are available. One of these links reads 'My Stuff' and that's your own personal section that nobody can see except for you! There you can manage your account and use tools to buy or sell items on the OA site. You can also check your messages. If you're looking to buy products and you can't find what you want you can use the Auction Detective (in My Stuff) to enter keywords for products or brand names that you're looking for. Whenever an item that matches your entered information is added to the site by a seller you'll receive an automatic email notice that a matching product was found by the Auction Detective. That way you don't have to keep coming back to the site trying to find what you want until it's actually listed! If you're not sure what it is you want right now you can also browse through the site's categories, also located at the top of every page in the site.
Simply click on the category menu and it will open, then you can scroll down through the menu to a category that you find interesting, and click on it with your mouse to open the page to that category, where you'll be able to see any products that are listed there. If you prefer to search for an item you can enter one or more words related to the item in the search box and click 'Search' to see if any matching items are currently listed on the site. Paying For Items
Once you find an item you like you should always read the description of the item, and check the shipping section below that to see what it costs to ship, and where the seller is willing to ship the item to. Some sellers will not ship items everywhere, so be sure to check before bidding or buying.
Sellers should also have the payment methods they accept. We do recommend that you not send money by Western Union, wire transfer, or related services. A great money transfer service that is secure and safe is PayPal and its used by tens of millions of people throughout the world (including us). If you are here only to bid or buy items at auction there is no fee at all, it is completely free. Should you decide to sell products or vehicles on OA Marketplace the standard cost to list an item is 10 cents (that's not a typo, just a dime). Selling items at auction is completely optional, but always available to you in your account.
